Core Aeration

Over time, the soil in your lawn becomes compacted, reducing the air space between soil particles as well as your lawn's ability to absorb nutrients and water.

The mechanical core aeration process involves the removal of finger size plugs about 2 inches in depth. These "plugs" return to the lawn after the first rain, watering or mowing, but greatly improve the nutrient water and air exchange

to your root system.

This stimulates new growth, improves water absorbtion and increases the positive effects of fertilizer applications. It also greatly helps to reduce harmful thatch buildup.

GenEx recommends that our customers have a core aeration service performed at least once per year. The best time to do core aeration is between April and August, when the grass is at its peak growing stage.
