Termite Control

Our Unbeatable "Dual Protection" Program

No home is safe from termites. The biggest problem with termites is that you probably won't see them until they've caused damage to your home. You wouldn't consider not having fire insurance protection for your home. But did you know that the annual cost of termite damage to homes is even greater than that of fires and storms combined?

No matter how your home is constructed, brick, block, stucco or frame, these sneaky, and very well organized pests can find their way inside. Subterranean termites can tunnel through a 1/64th inch crack in siding, or concrete slab and can be found devouring wood within homes all year round, so no home is ever safe unless treated and regularly inspected.

What are your treatment options?
Know your enemy.

Termites enter a house from the soil, often penetrating it at unseen points directly into the walls. Once inside the walls, they can cause significant damage to the house. Knowing this can help you to understand the three main treatment methods.

(1) Treatment of the wood—this makes the wood itself inedible and repellant to termites.

(2) Treatment of the soil to repell or kill the termites. These treatments stop the termites in the soil before they get to the house.

(3) Colony baiting systems—these detect the presence of termites in the soil and feed them a bait in order to kill the foraging termites so that they will not attack the house.

The GenEx Advantage: Dual Protection

The common practice in the termite control industry is to offer customers ONE of the above THREE methods of treatment. While this is the common practice, it's just not good enough for us. We believe that Colony Baiting Systems, while an effective supplemental control tool, provide virtually no immediate protection for your home. We also understand that the sandy soils of the Southern Coastal Plain allow soil termiticides to dissipate over time.

The GenEx solution-we provide a dual level of protection.

Depending on the construction style of the home, GenEx will recommend either the borate wood treatment with Bora-Care or a soil treatment with Termidor. In addition, we supplement all our treatments with our FirstLine Colony Baiting System.

That's right, we perform two termite services to your home!

Also, the common "once a year" or "Annual Termite Inspection" which is prevalent in the industry, is simply not good enough for GenEx or our customers.

In addition to the double protection of your home and the annual interior inspection, we return to your home inspecting the exterior and the colony bait stations every 90 days! If termites are present, a bait is applied and the stations are checked monthly until the termites are eliminated. This provides a far higher level of protection than a mere once per year inspection.

This dual level of protection greatly reduces the risk of reinfestation in the years following the primary treatment. Termites are relentless, constantly seeking to penetrate into any wood source. With the Gen-Ex dual treatment, you can rest assured as hard as the termites are working to come in, we are working even harder to keep them out.
